Dodge ram efi live see dealer now11/25/2023 Just seems risky to trust the reliable Cummins to some new set of parameters that I have no way to validate what they change and what it does to the motor. Novembers Cummins of the Month is now open for entries Military Appreciation Month Dealer Sales Codes/Reflash with EFI Live. Read a bunch of online stuff (probably half propaganda) and all these aftermarket tuners don't seem to have any credentials other than they've been tuning since common rail diesels became available in pickups. I get the ding and the OH says that see dealer now crap but it only happens when im using the light tow tune. Is it as simple as keeping an eye on egts? Is it that the factory had to tune for emissions purposes and the tuners and tuning for best performance and efficiency? Why does the stock tune have the "dead pedal" and aftermarket tunes make the truck more responsive? What are they changing to make this difference? So I am curious if anyone else has this problem. Too much advance timing would be bad, but surely they're not that dumb and we'd all hear it if they did. So what do these tunes change? And how do we know the tuners know what they're doing? I guess you can't really damage a diesel by leaning it out too much.
